Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University

CЊQ
Japanese/English

Research objectives of this division are elucidation of hazardous climate, quantitative prediction of disastrous atmospheric, maritime and hydrometeorological phenomena and prevention of wind damage to buildings and structures.

The division consists of the following three sections.

  CLIMATE ENVIRONMENT

  SEVERE STORM and ATMOSPHERIC ENVIRONMENT

WIND ENGINEERING and WIND RESISTANT STRUCTURES

  MARITIME DISASTERS

  HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISASTERS

METEOROLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL RISK INFORMATION (JAPAN WEATHER ASSOCIATION)
